We just returned from the most glorious vacation, a cruise of a lifetime! For so many years we have been seeing those beautiful ads for the Viking River Cruises and last October we booked our ultimate vacation. Fifteen days from Amsterdam to Budapest! The staff was amazing, and with 198 passengers and 50 staff members you can imagine how pampered we were! The food was top shelf and the wine that was featured for every meal, was of the region that we were then sailing through.
The only difficulty that we encountered was in the form of ME having a raging head cold, fever and chills seven days into the cruise. I did my best to keep up but a few days Robert was on his own. Well, never really on his own because some of the absolutely wonderful people who we met kept him in good company. We will never forget this sailing companions. We hope to keep in touch.
You will be seeing some great landscapes painted from the reference photos that we took. There are thousands of images to choose from. We'll start as soon as the jet lag clears our so we're on our regular schedule.
Check out Viking Cruises! We took a voucher for our next cruise already!
We had a wonderful crowd for our reception last night, a nice mix of old and new friends. There were even a few BEAUTIFUL RED DOTS next to paintings.
The exhibit will remain up until October 14 at 5:00 PM.
Both Robert and I have work in the ASA Landscapes for Landscapes exhibit/sale in Coila NY. This organization works tirelessly to protect farmland in the Washington and Rensselaer Counties. Please consider purchasing work that so many artists have made available. Fifty percent of the purchase price goes to help support this organization.

This summers A Barn Full of Art was a huge success. So many new people found their way to the studio. Many who had always wondered about what we had going on here had the chance to stop in. We even had the wonderful opportunity to reconnect with some old friends who we lost touch with.
The work to get A Barn Full of Art set up begins four months before the actual event and with our own outside exhibits scheduled for the remainder of this year and next year, it would be just too taxing to attempt to put together a December event here.
While we have totally enjoyed putting on this event we've decided that we will only do one A Barn Full of Art each year. The July event will remain.
To any artists who had hoped to be included in this Decembers event- we'll see if we can add a few more artists to the July exhibits next year and hope that everyone who wants to show can.
Please feel free use the contact page to give us some feedback regarding the change.
Have a exciting and safe summer!
We're only a few days away from the opening of our July 2017 A Barn Full of Art.
Work is arriving and we'll soon be undertaking the huge task of making sense of how it all fits together.
Be sure to drop by between July 14 and 16 (10AM to 6PM) to see the outcome. There will be roadside signs directing you to the studio/gallery.
The Artists Reception is July 14th from 6-9PM. Refreshments will be served. Parking on the grass is permitted.
